For many student athletes, mountain biking is a new sport. Even the experienced riders can learn something new at a NICA rider camp and clinic, which emphasizes proper skill, technique and a healthy approach to riding and racing. Certified coaches and assistants provide spot-on training for students of all skill levels. The Texas, Utah and Arizona High School Mountain Bike Leagues are teaming to offer this incredible opportunity the weeks of July 12, 2014 and July 26, 2014.
Great reasons to attend this camp:
1. A mix of fun rides and timed events
2. Expand your biking knowledge, skill and fitness
3. A week of riding on Colorado trails with riders of similar ability from around the League
4. Guest speakers who could be local professional mountain bikers and Olympians
To round out the time spent on the bike, campers attended group discussions and demonstrations on various race and health related topics. All attendees of this camp will get to experience rides in the mountains, plenty of healthy food, cozy Ft. Lewis College dormatory accommodations and of course — great company.
Any high school student (male or female) who can ride a mountain bike is welcome to attend.
